Aluminum Metal Zippers

Aluminum metal zippers have silver-colored zipper teeth. Consider an aluminum zipper when a metal zipper is desired and also a zipper that has relatively little weight to it is needed. Aluminum is a lighter-weight metal than brass or nickel. In addition to the material of the zipper teeth, you'll need to know the gauge of the aluminum zipper you'd like, whether you are repairing a coat by replacing the zipper, or designing something new from scratch. The gauge of the zipper tells you the size of the zipper teeth. #5 zippers have zipper teeth which measure 5 milometers (roughly 1/4 inch) across when zipped. #10 is a bulkier zipper, which measures 10 milometers (1/2 inch) across the teeth when zipped.
